Fountain Restoration

The fountain in front of the Frontenac County Courthouse will be undergoing much needed repairs.  The Kirkpatrick Fountain was originally built in 1903 and needs a complete restoration including the plumbing.  The city has budgeted $300,000 for the work.

It will be put out to tender and is expected to take up to a year to complete.

The fountain is named after Kingstonian, Sir George Kirkpatrick…Ontario’s Lieutenant Governor from 1892 to 1896.
