The heatwave continues today with a high of 27.

Things are due to cool off to the low 20’s for the rest of the week.

OPSEU Deal

The President of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union calls the offer of a 7.5% raise over four years for 35 thousand Ontario government employees…unprecedented.

Smokey Thomas says the offer also includes a number of positive changes with no request for concessions from the union.

However, OPSEU’s correctional bargaining unit is recommending its members reject the four-year contract extension saying it won’t allow for bargaining on other improvements correctional workers need.
