“This summer is my last ever tour,” says Smith in the video. “I have felt a strong desire to pursue ministry and this doesn’t mean I’m going to start a church or a crusade or a revival. This means me and my family are going to serve our local church.”

He also announced plans to complete a Masters degree at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and said that he will still do a book tour to promote Like a River, which focuses on the tragic drowning death of his son in 2019.

Fans have shared an outpour of support for Smith in the comments of his post.

Unfortunately he has no Canadian stops on his upcoming tour, so you’ll have to travel if you want to attend what will likely be his last tour ever.
