CFB Trenton – Coronavirus

CFB Trenton is preparing to receive several hundred people being evacuated from China.

Global Affairs Canada says the number of Canadians asking to leave Wuhan, China has grown to 325.  The government has charted a plane to retrieve Canadians but is still waiting for approval from Chinese authorities to land in the city, where airspace is currently closed.  There is no guarantee all those who have asked to leave Wuhan will be able to do so, with the department warning spaces are very limited.  Those who do leave will be quarantined at C-F-B Trenton for two weeks when they return to Canada.
