A man has been sent to hospital after he was bit by three dogs at a home in Napanee.

Provincial police say the incident happened early Monday morning, while the man was looking after the animals.

They say the dogs bit him several times, causing serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital, and the dogs have been quarantined.

An investigation is ongoing.

Police K9 Traffic

Kingston Police used their K-9 Unit to track down an erratic driver Sunday night.

The suspect ran a couple of red lights on Dalton Street before hitting another vehicle, and fleeing on foot

Kingston Police Dog ‘Zeus’ tracked down the suspect in a bush, moments later.

A 23-year-old man is now facing 11 charges.

KP Trail Wire

OPP are investigating after a telephone wire was found strung at neck-height on the KP Trail near Duncan Lake.

A volunteer maintenance worker took down the wire Sunday afternoon, prior to any incidents, and contacted police.

A resident allegedly spotted a group of young kids stringing up the wire.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sharbot Lake RCMP.

Cameras and Photo Radar

Red light cameras and photo radar could be part of a new strategy to limit accidents on Kingston roadways.

The new road safety plan was presented to a committee last night before being presented to city council for consideration.

Improving road safety was part of council’s new strategic priorities adopted earlier this year.

Any decision would have to be made by the end of this year for cameras to be installed in 2022.
