Correction: Council – Neighbours

Kingston will not be creating a good neighbour bylaw to regulate clearing snow and leaves – but – it is asking staff to come up with guidelines to help solve neighbour disputes over leaves and snow.  City council approved a motion Tuesday night to have staff prepare a report about best practices in other municipalities that have Good Neighbour guidelines.  I incorrectly reported yesterday the city was going to create a good neighbour bylaw.  But…City Councillor Jim Neill says cities can’t create bylaws that try to regulate how people interact with each other.
