Protest – Mohawks

The OPP have moved in with a large presence to end the blockade of the rail line at Wyman Road in Tyendinaga.

A midnight deadline was ignored by protesters in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

They issued a message at 1am today saying they were waiting to hear the RCMP have left the Wet’suwet’en territory in B-C before ending their rail blockade.

Journalists on the scene in Tyendinaga say at least one person has already been arrested as dozens of OPP officers and vehicles descended on the blockade around eight this morning.

Van Order – Toxic Gas

It sounds like a blast of bear spray in the hallway of a building on Van Order Drive was responsible for closing Van Order Drive and sending two people to hospital.

Van Order Drive was closed in the area of Metcalfe Avenue at 10:20 Sunday morning when emergency services responded to reports of noxious gases inside the building at 123 Van Order Drive.

Bear spray was reportedly released in the hallway of the building.

Frontenac Paramedics treated three patients at the scene and transported two of them to hospital with eye and skin irritation.

Snowmobile Crash

Lennox and Addington County OPP are investigating a serious snowmobile crash near Kaladar. The investigation includes studying about various snowmobile ice scratchers, their working and effects. There are many accessories that could have been the part of the incident.

The OPP says a man was suffered serious injuries when a snow machine left a trail and went over a steep embankment on Saturday. In such cases, it is advised to consult an attorney from a slip and fall law firm, who could help you to get compensation for the injury caused.

The man was airlifted to hospital.
