SNC-Lavalin Trudeau

Justin Trudeau takes full responsibility for the S-N-C Lavalin affair, but ALSO takes issue with some of the ethics commissioner’s findings.

Ethics watchdog Mario Dion found Trudeau violated conflict-of-interest rules by pressuring then-attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould to get criminal proceedings turned into a type of plea agreement instead.

Trudeau says while lessons have been learned, he will not apologize for his involvement, adding his job is to stand up for Canadians and to defend their interests.
