5 Fitness Tips From Carrie Underwood’s Trainer

Carrie Underwood has a bod that won’t quit, thanks in part to the guidance of her trainer, Erin Oprea. How does the country superstar stay so buff despite a busy career and having to chase around her son with husband Mike Fisher?

  1. Cool it with the daily boozing. That nightly glass (or two) of wine is a good way to derail forward progress.
  2. Stay active & move more. Even a daily walk can make a big difference. To track your movements and see progress, try a fitness tracker
  3. Short bursts of focused exercises also helps. Oprea recommends high-impact Tabata exercises, which take only four minutes to do.
  4. Don’t go on a diet; instead, change your lifestyle. Fads are only temporary fixes. Instead, learn how to prepare and cook flavorful, healthy food.
  5. Squats, lunges and push-ups are key. These three simple exercises tone your entire body, and can work for every skill level.
