Leeds OPP says…The males below have been identified.

Minor Drought

The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority says the Kingston area is suffering a minor drought.

The minor drought conditions cover the area from Napanee through Kingston to Brockville and north to Newboro.  The conservation authority says the area has received half the normal amount of rain during April and May and streams are flowing at 25% below average.

It says lake levels are around normal at this time of year but a lack of rainfall this summer could cause problems for navigation, water intakes and moorings on area waterways.

It is asking people to conserve use of water by limiting the watering of plants and lawns, and not washing driveways and sidewalks.

Gas Leak

A natural gas leak closed Princess Street from Barrie to Clergy in downtown Kingston.
